Burnett Dairy Cooperative is owned by 200 family farms in the Grantsburg, WI and surrounding areas. They also own a cheese plant in Wilson, WI - Cady Cheese. Services offered to farmers include agronomy, feed, grain, animal health/nutrition, propane/fuels, etc. In turn we receive high quality milk to make our award-winning cheese. The Grantsburg and Wilson locations feature viewing room tours by appointment and cheese stores which also sell local gourmet products. The Grantsburg location has amazing ice cream, wine, and a bistro with grilled sandwiches, fried cheese curds, pizza. Burnett Dairy Cooperative also hosts several events each year including "Dairy Days" and Ladies Day Out. Group Friendly (Motorcoach) destination.

The Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce supports the Ellsworth business community and areas beyond, through economic, industrial, professional, cultural, educational and civic initiatives. We embrace our agricultural roots, leveraging the strengths of our region's ag businesses and agritourism attractions for their economic and quality of life benefits. Home of the Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery, official Cheese Curd Capital of Wisconsin, and the annual Cheese Curd Festival, which takes place each summer in June. In addition, you'll find many farm to fork restaurants, orchards, community gardens, vineyards, event barns, and other agritourism destinations and attractions along the back roads, bluffs and valleys of our area.

For more than 100 years, Monroe's Historic Courthouse Square has served as a scenic backdrop to the festival grounds, with a celebration attracting crowds of revelers ready to yodel, polka, and consume cheese by the truckload. Marieke Gouda is an award-winning cheese handcrafted on our farm in beautiful Thorp, Wisconsin. We are open year-round for tours, cheese samples and dining. Come visit us on the farm!
There is something for everyone to see and explore on this 4th generation family farm, owned and operated by David & Leslie Meuer! March starts out with the farm making maple syrup. The maple syrup season goes for about a month, and the public is welcome to stop out anytime for a taste and to watch. Once maple syrup season ends, work begins to ready the 5 acres of strawberries for picking in June and July. Work starts by uncovering the berry plants from their straw covered bed, and soon after our honey bees are put out in different locations here on the farm. Pick-Your-Own and pre-picked strawberries are ready in June and early July. July and August is fresh pre-picked Wisconsin Blueberries, and then its fresh bi-color sweet corn. August is new crop honey being harvested here, and then it's our 10 acre corn maze along with hayrides, farm animals, the activity area, and pumpkin picking during the months of Sept. and Oct. We are handicap accessible here at the farm, even the hayrides! Fieldtrips, weddings, tours and outings for companies and groups are available anytime. Because this is an active, operating farm - visitors get to see planting, harvesting, cows calving, and all other aspects of farm life. Once a month from May thru Sept., join in the "Farm Flavors" farm dinner series. Experience a 3-5 course fancy dinner on location, accompanied by a special farm presentation. Pagel's Ponderosa Dairy is the largest single family owned dairy in Wisconsin. The farm was established back in 1946 when John Pagels father Carl Pagel borrowed the money from a neighbor to buy the farm. Since then the farm has stayed in the family and is thriving with many generations to come! Take a tour of the Ponderosa and learn all about the latest innovations in milk production (735 - 750 cows are milked per hour!) and alternative energies. Watch the milk from our cows go to our newly added cheese production plant to create a variety of cheeses. Pagels' Ponderosa will host Breakfast on the Farm in Kewaunee County on June 19th 2016. Renard's Cheese is a family owned and operated business since 1961. Master Cheesemaker Chris Renard is a third generation cheesemaker crafting cheese the old fashion way. Fresh cheese curds daily and a wide variety of handcrafted artisan cheese - Cheddars, Colby, Farmers, Muenster, Brick, Marble, Monterey Jack, Mozzarella string, Smoked string and over 50 flavor infused specialty cheeses. We offer Door County Gourmet products. Deli - dine in or take out. Factory tours are available by reservation.
Rural Arts Roadtrip is the 2nd weekend in October each year. It is a self-guided local art and food event primarily in Calumet County, WI. Meander along the 11 host sites with 80 artists represented. View artist demos, enjoy rustic roads, and savor local foods. Bring your coolers to take home grass-fed beef, cage free chicken, artisan cheese and honey, pure maple syrup, apples and more. Eclectic artists include glass blowing; stained, leaded, etched, and enameled glass; fiber arts; hand-painted yarn, handspun yarn, felted as well as woven apparel and household furnishings; wood art, chainsaw carving, scroll and hand carving, rustic furniture, barn-board art. Pottery, quilting, leatherwork, painting, metal art, jewelry, handmade soaps and more.
Observation hall, 50 varieties of cheese, sausage. Widmer's Cellars are known for their Brick cheese - made the traditional way in the same open vats that cheesemaker Joe's grandfather bought in 1922. Joe is one of Wisconsin's Master Cheesemakers. The factory store and viewing area are open daily Monday through Friday between 6:30 am to 5 pm. Saturdays 7 am to 5 pm. During June through October open Sundays 10 am to 4 pm. Call ahead for guided tours - offered Monday through Friday at 9:30 am.
