Common Gardens is a multi-faceted LLC that operates a Bed & Breakfast, an incubator farm, an event venue, a charter bus and landscaping services from our 120 acre farm located 17 miles from the capitol. We are a leader in the new food movement, exploring viable business models around food and agri-tourism activities.
U-pick and we-pick strawberries, summer & fall raspberries, blueberries. Homegrown fruits, melons, and vegetables are picked fresh daily and offered in our farm store along with, jams, dressings, salsas, homegrown popcorn, ice-cream cones, and fresh bakery. The entire family can make fun memories playing in the Lil' Bumpkin Play Village & Petting Farm, pedal kart raceway, kid's zip line, and Country Bumpkin Express train ride all around the farm! Fall means pumpkins, fall décor, corn maze, catapult, wagon rides to the pumpkin patches, and homemade caramel apples! Nighttime corn maze, wagon and train rides, and campfires with s'mores are special events in October! Country Bumpkin offers wholesome family fun AND great things to eat! Open daily, late April - October 31. Take Exit 89 onto Hwy. 23, south 1/2 mile to County Road P on right. (Super Wal-Mart, Home Depot, and Kohl's on left.) Turn right onto CR P. Go 1 mile and the farm is on the left.
Ebert's Greenhouse Village is a full service garden center specializing in gorgeous flowers, unique gardening ideas, beautifully landscaped grounds and fantastic customer service!
The Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce supports the Ellsworth business community and areas beyond, through economic, industrial, professional, cultural, educational and civic initiatives. We embrace our agricultural roots, leveraging the strengths of our region's ag businesses and agritourism attractions for their economic and quality of life benefits. Home of the Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery, official Cheese Curd Capital of Wisconsin, and the annual Cheese Curd Festival, which takes place each summer in June. In addition, you'll find many farm to fork restaurants, orchards, community gardens, vineyards, event barns, and other agritourism destinations and attractions along the back roads, bluffs and valleys of our area.
Family owned store and cafe featuring home-style cooking, fresh bakery, plants, shrubs, vegetables, and novelties. Also, available - wine, cheese, meats, and hand dipped ice cream! Open May - October 7 days a week.
Unique greenhouse open year round. In the spring they offer annual and perennial bedding plants. Summer brings field grown hostas, daylilies and sweet corn. With autumn comes mums and a scavenger hunt corn maze. Christmas season offers fresh trees, wreaths and garland with a variety of gifts and ornaments. The quaint gift shop is also open year round and features local artisans and locally made wine.
Whistler's Knoll - a Vineyard with Character. The refurbished barn adds character and charm. Located only minutes west of Appleton. Whistler's Knoll is available by appointment for Rustic Barn Weddings, Corporate Events, and Private Parties. Check our website for upcoming Wood Fired Pizza Nights, Wine Pairing Dinners, and numerous Educational Workshops all open to the public.
