Apple Barn Orchard & Winery has been a family owned farm since 1846. The apple orchard started in the early 80' and the Winery started in 2003. Everything is done on site for the winery and bakery. U-Pick strawberries, apples and pumpkins available in season.

The Purpose of the Brown County Fair Association: Provide an opportunity for youth and adults to gather in a family oriented environment to learn from each other by sharing experiences and accomplishments through exhibits and demonstrations and to bring urban and rural residents of all ages together to learn about Brown County's history, traditions and accomplishments through agriculture, family living, and business. The Brown County Fair Association Mission Statement: The Brown County Fair Association, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation providing a family oriented event, known as the Brown County Fair, that is safe, affordable, educational, and fun for all ages. We strive to provide a welcoming environment for our guests and promote agriculture through exhibits and demonstrations. The Brown County Fair Association is committed to supporting life-long learning for our youth and our community. Our goal is to teach urban and rural residents of all ages about Brown County's history, traditions, and accomplishments through agriculture, family living, and business.
You'll find nationally award-winning, estate-grown table and dessert wines using grapes grown at the Kennedy family's 15-acre vineyard. Burr Oak Winery and Kennedy Vineyards is located in a region of glaciated soils especially beneficial for growing premium wine grapes. At the winery, join us for wine festivals, wine tasting all the great fine wines (indoor seating, plus outdoor seating in the wine garden with view of the Burr Oak tree), wine tours and friendly people in a congenial atmosphere. Common Gardens is a multi-faceted LLC that operates a Bed & Breakfast, an incubator farm, an event & wedding venue, a charter bus and landscaping services from our 120 acre farm located 17 miles from the capitol. We are a leader in the new food movement, exploring viable business models around food and agri-tourism activities.

The Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is dedicated to creating economic impact through tourism. Events sponsored by the Green County Ag Chest include Breakfast on the Farm and Dairy Days. The organization also sponsors the "queen program" with a young lady from each Green County community selected as an agricultural ambassador. The Green County Ag Chest was organized in 1958 when the Green County Dairy Promotion Committee and the Green County Agricultural Foundation merged. Their objective is to promote Green County, its products, its resources, and its people - especially youth and youth activities involved with home economics and agriculture.
Green County Fairgrounds is a 38 acre multi purpose facility. We have a campground with 100 sites. We are on the Green County ATV trail and our facility is just blocks from the downtown square of Monroe. We have great halls for renting, multiple livestock barns with milking facilities and a track with amphitheater that seats 1800. We host many activities throughout the year. During our winter months we take in campers, RV's, boats and cars for storage. The National Historic Cheesemaking Museum is located at the southern gateway to Wisconsin, just a few miles north of the Illinois/Wisconsin line. The staff eagerly awaits your visit to tell you the story of early cheesemaking which earned Monroe the title of the "Cheese Capital of the USA." During your visit, step inside the century old Imobersteg Cheese Factory to witness how cheese was made over a century ago. Each year on the second Saturday of June, join Master Cheesemakers and retired cheesemakers as they make a wheel of Swiss cheese, right before your eyes.
